Work Experience
After completing my undergraduate degree in
mathematics and economics at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD)
in December of 2019, I spent some time as a research engineer and
mathematician at Apogee Research
and Envieta, respectively. I've also spent time as
a software engineer in various industries.

Software Engineer Aug. 2021 → Sep. 2023
Independent/Contracting
- Laying the foundation to integrate a property based testing library (Hypothesis) into sympy.
- Fixed bugs and enhanced features on a novel data model that is a super–set of the standard relational and document models.
- Identified and analyzed regions of uncertainty and anomalies in complex and dynamic medical datasets using a proprietary data-oriented probabilistic ML platform.
- Devised methodology to properly back-fill geographical data in Elasticsearch database to reduce the rate of error on a marketplace site from 5% to 0.5%.
- Created illuminating data dashboards to properly track and analyze user movement, behavior, and retention via sql queries in metabase.
- Tested the cryptographic sanctity and network efficiency of a system that allows for secure communication at multiple classification levels as part of the DARPA SHARE program.
Mathematician Jan. 2021 → Jul. 2021
Envieta
- Utilized Detectron2 for instance segmentation and developed classification tools for robotic package sorting.
Research Engineer Jan. 2020 → Dec. 2020
Apogee Research
- Worked on DARPA-hard problems in high-reliability software systems.
- Applied stochastic control theory to object tracking and estimation.
- Utilized statistical methods for outlier detection and pattern discovery in noisy data.
